Mount Saint Mary Athletics Hall of Fame
Vinnie Carminati put together one of the most productive four-year baseball careers for the Knights from 2011-14.

Over four seasons as a Knight, Carminati hit an impressive .377 over 451 at-bats. He totaled 170 hits over the course of his career, including 30 doubles, 13 triples and three home runs. Carminati drove in 95 runs, recorded 235 total bases and posted a .521 slugging percentage and a .470 on-base percentage. Also a strong base runner, Carminati finished his career 50-for-55 in stolen base chances.

Carminati was recognized by his peers in each of his four seasons, earning Second Team All-Skyline Conference recognition as a freshman and First Team accolades in each of his final three seasons. Carminati picked up D3Baseball.com Third Team All-New York Region and All-ECAC recognition as a sophomore and a junior and closed his senior season ranked 24th nationally in triples per game, 65th in on-base percentage and 66th in walks per game. As a sophomore, Carminati hit an impressive .431m good for 21st in the country.

Carminati lists playing in front of his family and friends and sweeping Farmingdale State in a conference doubleheader as his proudest moments as a Knight.

Carminati recalls, "Eating late night tacos, playing baseball at Dutchess Stadium, Dominating in ping pong at the Kaplan Center, Having good times with fellow teammates at the Baseball House," as some of his memories as a Knight, but "meeting the love of my life," topped them all.

As for what being a student-athlete provided for him, Carminati notes, "It provided me with a routine of health & fitness that has become an engrained part of my life."

Upon graduation from the Mount, Carminati earned his Master's from Mount Saint Mary and shortly after began working at Essensys where he is currently a Senior Project Manager.

Carminati has been working at Essensys for 5.5 years and has also become a Real Estate Investor in the Atlanta, Ga. area.

Carminati proposed to his fiancé in May of 2019 while in Paris and the couple is set to be married in May of 2022.
