Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Sean Lockwood left a lasting mark on the Mount Saint Mary College Men's Soccer program, turning the program into a perennial Skyline Conference contender and leading the team to its first ever Skyline Conference title in 2013.
 
Lockwood appeared in 72 games for the Knights over a four-year career, starting 70 contests. He rounded out his standout career with 65 points on the strength of 22 goals and 21 assists. He was named All-Skyline Conference twice in his career, earning a Second Team citation as a sophomore and landing on the league's First Team as a junior. Lockwood also was named an ECAC All-Star in 2013 and was tabbed the Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
"Being a student-athlete taught me the time management and organizational skills required for the working world. It also provided me an advantage in job interviews, as employers look for natural leaders with a great work-ethic, which are skills I built upon during my time as a student athlete at the Mount," said Lockwood on what being a student-athlete at the Mount has meant to him.
 
Lockwood notes some of his favorite memories as a member of the Men's Soccer team as living in Sakac during preseason and grabbing a postgame meal with former president Father Mackin and teammates following a home opening victory in 2012.
 
When asked about home of his proudest moments as a student-athlete at the Mount Lockwood reflected, "Winning the Mount's first ever soccer Skyline Championship in 2013 on our home field and going on to play in the NCAA Tournament, as well as being selected as a Mount Hall of Fame inductee."
 
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree from the Mount, Lockwood went on to earn his MBA in 2015. He has worked in finance since graduation, working at Westmed Practice Partners, AlianceBernstein and currently Goldman Sachs since 2017.
 
Lockwood, who is an Associate at Goldman Sachs, currently resides in Jersey City with his finance Tara McDermott, a 2019 Mount Saint Mary Hall of Fame Inductee. The couple is set to be married in March of 2022.
