Kaileen Spadaro was part of the first Women's Lacrosse team to take the field at Mount Saint Mary College and today still sits as one of the top players in the program's 12-year history.

Mount Saint Mary's first season of Women's Lacrosse was in 2010 with Spadaro entering the fold as a freshman on the first ever roster. She completed that season with 49 goals and 58 points to go along with 35 groundballs and 20 draw controls. She helped lead the Knights to the Skyline Conference Tournament in their first season and finished the year ranked 50th nationally in goals per game.

Spadaro scored at least 25 goals in each of her four seasons as a Knight, including a career-high 51 in 2012 in a year she also posted a career-best 63 points. She set the then career record for goals, assists and points in 2013 and rounded out her career with 170 goals, 40 assists, 210 points, 97 groundballs, 30 caused turnovers and 61 draw controls. Spadaro still ranks second in program history in goals and points and third in assists. She also finds herself ranked in the top-10 all-time in groundballs.

Over the course of her career, Spadaro was named All-Skyline Conference three times, earning Second Team recognition in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Spadaro lists Spring Break trips to Disney and West Palm beach with the team, bus rides to games, team hangouts the night before games and creating lifelong friendships with my teammates as important memories as her time as a Knight and building a program and making the conference tournament in its first varsity season as proud moments as a Knight.

"Being a student-athlete at the Mount taught me the foundational skills that I needed to move forward. It taught me leadership and communication skills that I have carried into my professional career. Being a student-athlete also taught me the importance of determination and dedication when faced with adversity."

Spadaro graduated from the Mount with degree in Education and earned her Master's in Educational Technology from SUNY Oneonta.

Spadaro currently teaches third grade and coaches youth lacrosse in her hometown of Islip, N.Y.
