Mount Saint Mary College Athletics

Liz Lonergan was a standout for the Mount Saint Mary College Women's Basketball program and was a corner stone for the program's unprecedented success.
 
Liz was a 1,000-point scorer for the Knights over the course of her career and during her time with the Mount found herself among the national leaders in both rebounding and scoring average. Along with the success of the team, Lonergan was named the Most Valuable Player of the St. Thomas Aquinas Christmas Tournament for the Knights.
 
"I enjoyed the comradery and teamwork that comes with being an MSMC Blue Knight, not only with my teammates and coaches, but with the entire MSMC community. I believe it has helped me in my career as I'm always willing to take on new challenges and help out others when needed," recalled Lonergan upon her induction into the Hall.
 
Upon graduation from the Mount, Liz moved to Pearl River and worked in the Direct Marketing Field for better than 20 years. Liz has sinced switched careers and is now working in the HealthCare Compliance arena for a Health Plan in New York City certified in Health Care compliance.
 
Liz is still involved with basketball and serves as a volunteer coach for her local CYO program in addition to being an avid golfer. Her group at the Athletic Golf outing in August won the team event.
 
Liz currently resides in Pearl River with her husband, Kevin Mangan, and their dog Murphy.
