NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Former women’s tennis head coach Lorraine Brady will be inducted as an inaugural member of the Mount Saint Mary College Hall of Fame on April 13, 2013.

Brady, the women’s tennis coach for 10 season from 2002-12, is the all-time leader for women’s tennis coaching wins at the College.  She owns a career record of 130-30 to go along with six Skyline Conference championships.  Brady was named the Skyline Coach of the Year on five separate occasions.

During her ten seasons at the helm, Brady coached 30 all-conference players.  She also coached two Skyline Rookies of the Year (Gina Trapini in 2004 and Gabriela Murphy-Goldberg in 2009) and two Skyline Players of the Year (Trapini in 2007 and Murphy-Goldberg in 2010).

Brady’s 2007 team became the first team in program history to post an undefeated season.  The Knights went 17-0 that year and strung together 26 straight match wins through the start of the 2008 campaign.  One year later, the Knights opened the 2009-10 season with 18 straight victories and went on to set a new mark for wins in a season with a record of 19-3.

Brady also helped the program to its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.  As the Skyline Conference champions in 2009, the Knights claimed the conference’s automatic bid and competed in the 2010 National Tournament.  The team made return appearances in 2011 and 2012.

Brady lives in Goshen, N.Y. with her husband, Bernard.  They have three sons and three grandchildren: Jackson, Mackenzie, and Dylan.

Favorite moments at the Mount: “Winning our first championship against Stevens in 2002, that's something I'll never forget.  I'll also always remember the perfect 17-0 season of 2007 and winning the first championship on our new home courts in 2010.”
