Kyle Reiss was a standout two sport student-athlete for the Knights covering four seasons of Men's Tennis and three seasons as a goalkeeper with the Men's Soccer program. Reiss played in 37 games and started 27 for the men's soccer team, posting a career 1.73 goals against average and recorded a career .691 winning percentage as a singles player and a .696 winning percentage in doubles action on the tennis court.

Kyle finished his men's tennis career at 38-17 in singles action and 39-17 in doubles play, holding the program's record for doubles wins in a career and the program's mark for career combined victories with 77. He was a four year captain for the Knights and was made a First Team All-Skyline Conference selection in three of his four seasons, including being named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year in 2005.

In soccer, Reiss held the program's career mark for goals against average until 2013 and made 211 saves over the course of a three year career with the Knights. Following the 2006 season he ranked seventh nationally in save percentage (.896) and seventh nationally in saves per game (9.33).

Upon graduation for Mount Saint Mary, Reiss has stayed active in athletics and still regularly plays soccer, tennis and golf. He has worked as a microbiologist for Chobani and is currently working as a chemist in Albany, N.Y.

"Being a student-athlete taught discipline, team-building, leadership skills and how to be an individual yet still excel as part of a group," states Reiss.

Among Kyle's proudest moments as a Knight are rushing the court after claiming the Skyline Conference Championship as well as rehabbing an ACL injury with the athletic training staff and not missing the following season. Kyle looks back fondly on punishment runs in men's soccer and all the different courts, fields and parks his team competed on over the course of his career.
