NEW YORK, N.Y. – Sophomore outside hitter
Julianna Simone of the women's volleyball team was named to the Skyline All-Conference First Team, and senior outside hitter
Jonaiya Williams was named to the Skyline All-Conference Second Team as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Simone improved upon her All-Conference freshman season both offensively and defensively. She led the team in points, points per set, kills, aces, digs, digs per set, and was third in total blocks. Simone was 5th in the Skyline in kills per set with 2.97, 5th in points per set with 3.68, and 8th in digs per set with 3.55. This season, she totaled 261 kills, a .173 hitting percentage, 333 digs, 46 aces, 25 assists, and 37.0 total blocks for 327.5 points, all career bests.
Williams made an All-Conference team for the third straight season. She was tied 8th in Skyline play with 2.86 kills per set, 9th in points per set with 3.45, and 11th in hitting percentage at .228. Williams tallied 250 kills, 157 digs, 36 aces, 15 assists, and 29.0 total blocks for 302.0 points.
