Gerard Nocera (Holmdel, N.J.) closed a solid contest with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Tyler McDine (Suffern, N.Y.) finished off the victory with nine points, seven rebounds and four assists, while
Connor Bacci (Bayside, N.Y.) came off the bench to chip in with five points and four steals.
Through eight games, Mount Saint Mary features a balanced scoring attack that has seven players averaging at least five points per outing. Wolff is second on the team in scoring with 12.0 points per game and leads the team on the glass with just shy of nine caroms per contest. Nocera leads the team in scoring with just under 14 points per night and McDine is chipping in 8.4 points per game to go along with a team-high 26 assists for the Knights.
The Mount leads the Skyline Conference in free-throw percentage, converting at nearly 75-percent as a team. McDine ranks fourth in the conference in free-throw percentage at 82.4-percent in 51 attempts, while Nocera sits 11
th in the league standings, converting at a 74.4-percent clip in 39 chances.
The Knights are also tops in the league in field goal percentage defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 38.9-percent on the season. The Knights have held opponents under 40-percent from the floor in five games this season, including in each of the last three.
Overall, the Mount is scoring 69.0 points per game and is averaging better than five more makes from the free-throw line than its opponents, with rivals shooting just under 61-percent from the stripe against the Knights.
A Look At Hunter: The Hawks enter play on Friday at 5-5 overall and are coming off 20 point loss to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on December 12. Hunter was held to 32.1-percent shooting in the contest and was led by 24 points and nine rebounds from Amer Lukac.
Lukac leads a pair of players averaging in double-figures on the season with 17.2 points per outing and is also tops on the team in rebounding, pulling down better than seven boards per tilt. Matt Franks is good for 11.8 points per game and is shooting nearly 91-percent from the free-throw line in 43 attempts.
The Hawks are scoring just under 67 points per game on the season and are allowing opponents to shoot 43.2-percent from the floor. Hunter makes nearly seven three-point field goals per game and gets outrebounded by its opponents by 4.7 per game.
