NEW YORK, N.Y. – Playing yet another game down to the final possession, Mount Saint Mary College missed a potential game-winning shot in the final seconds and lost, 62-61, to Yeshiva University on Monday evening. With his team down four (62-58) in the final minute of play, senior
Chris Kingly (Washingtonville, N.Y.) knocked down a three-pointer to make it a one-point game. The Blue Knights called timeout and then committed three consecutive fouls to push Yeshiva into the bonus. Sophomore Chen Biron (Kfar Saba, Israel) missed the front end of a one-and-one, leaving the door open for the Mount. On the final possession, a shot by junior
Tim Morris (Greenwich, N.Y.) rolled in and out, allowing the Maccabees to escape with a one-point victory.
Mount Saint Mary trailed by as many as nine during the second half, but a strong effort by sophomore
Carlos Valdez (Slate Hill, N.Y.) pulled the Blue Knights back into the game. Valdez scored eight points during an 11-2 run that tied the game at 56 with 2:51 remaining.
Yeshiva senior David Gilboa (Tenafly, N.J.) scored the big bucket for his team, putting home a basket as the shot clock expired with just 37 seconds to play. Gilboa's two-pointer made it 62-58 and proved to be the game-winner.

Lenny Ragaglia (Staten Island, N.Y.) totaled 10 points, draining 3-of-9 from beyond the arc.
Freshman Gil Bash (Tel Aviv, Israel) led Yeshiva with 15 points. Senior Martin Leibovich (Buenos Aires, Argentina) had a nice night as well, finishing with 14 points and a team-high 6 boards.
It was a well-played game at both ends of the floor. Mount Saint Mary shot 45.8% from the field and committed just 10 turnovers. Yeshiva made 51.1% of their attempts and turned the ball over only 12 times. The teams combined for just 8 offensive rebounds.
