NEWBURGH, NY – The Mount Saint Mary College men's soccer team dropped a Skyline Conference game to Farmingdale State College on Saturday, 3-0. The Blue Knights fell to 5-5-1 overall and to 1-3-0 inside the conference.

Farmingdale broke out to a quick lead in the first fifteen minutes of play, behind goals from sophomore Nick Pancotto (Islip, N.Y.) and junior Alex Mendolia (Smithtown, N.Y.). In the second half, junior Ryan Paul (Sayville, N.Y.) scored with 2:06 remaining, and Farmingdale went on for the 3-0 victory.

Mount Saint Mary senior goalkeeper Paul Aries (Nashua, N.H.) made eight saves in defeat. Senior Patrick Gubbins (East Patchogue, N.Y.) made four saves in his fourth shutout of the season for the Rams.

Needing every point they can get in the Skyline Conference standings, the Blue Knights will host the Polytechnic Institute of NYU next weekend. The game is scheduled for noon on Saturday, October 17.
