Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary was riding a 4-game winning streak heading into their match-up with Yeshiva University, having not lost a game after the New Year. The Knights got off to a quick 12-0 start, as Maggie Trinkaus found Sara Cashin for the team's first bucket. Cashin led the Mount in scoring this game with 15 points and 7 rebounds in just 14 minutes played. The Knights took the lead from the opening possession and never looked back, outscoring the Maccabees 26-10 in the first quarter.

All 11 members of the Knights squad that saw action would score this evening, as freshman Grace Christie and Jaelynn Walker would both record season-highs in points. Mount Saint Mary opened up the second quarter with a 9-0 run, holding Yeshiva scoreless until the 3:36 mark. Christie would knock down 2 of her 3 made threes to round out the quarter off assists from Angelina Donato, to put the Knights up 46-17 at the half.

The Mount had one of their best shooting performances of the season, shooting 48.4% from the field and 37.5% from three. The Knights tied their season-high in three-point makes in a game with 9, which they also did against Yeshiva earlier this season. Mount Saint Mary had a big third quarter, scoring a game-high 27 points and holding the Maccabees to a game-low 6 points. Freshman Gabby Ziegenbalg, who is second in the conference in three-point makes per game and third in three-point percentage, would go 3-4 from beyond the arc tonight, as she continues to be the Knights' most lethal sharpshooter and one of the best in the Skyline.

The Knights would lead 73-23 with just one quarter remaining as Yeshiva would score the first 5 points of the fourth before Darcy DeBenedittis drew a foul to get to the line. Jaelynn Walker scored 5 of her season-best 9 points in the fourth quarter, including an and-one late in the game. The Mount would win its fifth straight game by the final score of 85-33 over Yeshiva University. They will look to continue their win streak this weekend when they travel to play at Sarah Lawrence.
