Mount Saint Mary College baseball team begins their road to the Skyline Championship with a first round home game against the College at Old Westbury this afternoon.

The winner of this match up will advance onto the double elimination portion of the tournameny, beginning with a contest against St. Joseph's-L.I. Friday afternmoon.

History

In the 2017 season, Old Westbury dominated Mount Saint Mary twice during the regular season games. However, the knights pulled through later on in a 4-3 win to upset Old Westbury in the first round game of the championship en route to a appearance in the Conference Championship Round.

Expectations

The knights are looking to claim a third win against Old Westbury this season.

The team has already swept past Old Westbury on their turf twice this season, with the knights scoring twice as many runs than their opponents.
