Peter Pappalardo. The Maccabees would get the first run of the game off a sacrifice fly in the top of the 2nd to take a 1-0 lead. The Knights responded with four runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning, led off by a
Kaleb Morgan home run. RBI singles from
Richard Lamping and
Christian Parisa helped the Mount gain their 4-1 lead. The Knights would add to their lead in the bottom of the 3rd after back-to-back singles from
Kaleb Morgan and
Stephen Volk led to a passed ball score. An error from Mount Saint Mary led to a run for Yeshiva to make it 5-2 in the 4th.
Nick Parco was great on the mound for the Knights, providing 6.0 innings with six strikeouts and just one earned run. With two outs in the top of the 7th, an error by Mount Saint Mary created a snowball of events that led to three runs from the Maccabees, as Yeshiva looked to shock the Knights with their first-ever program win over the Mount. Down 6-5 in the bottom of the 7th,
Aidan Marshall led off the inning with a single to center field. An RBI single from
Stephen Volk later in the inning tied the game up and forced extra innings. Yeshiva would score two runs in the top half of the 8th to put all the pressure on the Mount to score.
Richard Lamping reached base on a single to right field, followed by a walk from
Noah Anderson to put the tying runner on.
Christian Parisa singled to center field to score one run, then
Aidan Marshall followed that up with a two-RBI walk-off single to left field, as the Knights escaped Yeshiva 9-8 in game one.

Yeshiva left off right where they started offensively, scoring five runs in the 1st inning as they looked to upset the Knights in game two. An error allowed
Axel Martinez to score after leading off the bottom of the first with a single.
Aidan Marshall singled to right-center later in the inning to score two more runs to make it 5-3. An RBI double by the Maccabees in the following inning extended their lead, but Mount Saint Mary followed that up with three runs off RBI hits from
Axel Martinez,
Christian Parisa, and
Noah Anderson to tie it up 6-6. Freshman pitcher
Sean Carroll managed to calm things down for the Knights on the mound, as he pitched 3.1 innings, earning himself the win.
The Mount's bats were absolutely rolling in this one, as they scored at least three runs in every inning this game. The Knights managed to score an incredible 12 runs in the bottom of the 5th to extend their lead to 24-8. This included seven RBI hits and, of course, a two-run home run for
Kaleb Morgan as he reached double-digit long balls on the year.
Peter Pappalardo and
Daniel Alexander both managed to reach base in the bottom of the 6th, with Pappalardo recording his first-career RBI with a great diving hustle play to first base. Mount Saint Mary would take game two 28-9 over Yeshiva.
