Box Score NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Freshman attacker
Shaun McMahon (Commack, N.Y.) scored six times, but it was not enough to fuel the Knights to victory as the Mount Saint Mary College men's lacrosse team (3-8, 1-4 Skyline) fell to Richard Stockton College (12-3, 3-1 Skyline), 13-7, in Skyline Conference play Saturday afternoon at Kaplan Field.
McMahon tallied six of the Knights' seven goals in the game. Junior midfielder
Jake Robison (Franklin Square, N.Y.) assisted three of McMahon's scores, handing out four in total on the day.
Stockton had control for the majority of the game, opening with a 4-2 edge through one quarter. Tony Pagano and Guy Loggi each scored for the Ospreys in the second quarter to put them up, 6-2, heading into the half.
Vinny Gencarelli scored a pair of man-up goals for the Ospreys to open up the third quarter. The Knights got one back on McMahon's third goal of the game, but Max Becker and Gencarelli picked up another two scores for the Ospreys to give them a 10-3 after three quarters.
The Knights opened the fourth with three-straight goals, two by McMahon and another by junior midfielder
David Hobbs (Baldwin, N.Y.), to cut the deficit to four goals. Stockton then went on a three-goal run to push its lead back to seven before McMahon netted his final goal of the day to reach the final score of 13-7.
Eric Leonard made five saves for the Ospreys to pick up the win in Saturday's matchup. Junior goalkeeper
Connor Haran (Massapequa, N.Y.) shouldered the loss, but stopped 15 shots.
Drew Wright recorded four points on two goals and two assists to lead the Ospreys on Saturday. Gencarelli and Becker each netted three goals, while Alex Epifano dished out two assists and scored a goal. Tony Pagano scooped up a team-high six ground balls and won 16-of-20 face-offs.

Stephen White (Schenectady, N.Y.) also picked up an assist. Haran grabbed a game-high eight ground balls, and senior defender
Ray Bednarczyk (Carmel, N.Y.) caused three turnovers.
Stockton fired off 44 shots, while the Knights managed just 20. The Ospreys held a 48-37 edge in ground balls and won 19 of the game's 24 face-offs.
The Knights return to action on Tuesday, April 15, when they take a short trip over to Bard College for a non-conference matchup with the Raptors. Tuesday's game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
