ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Mount Saint Mary College baseball team opens up its 2014 campaign tomorrow, Feb. 22, with a doubleheader at St. Mary's College beginning at noon, followed by the concluding game of the series on Sunday, Feb. 23.

The Knights finished 16-17 a year ago, including a 7-9 record in the Skyline Conference that earned them a berth in the Skyline Conference Championship tournament. They graduated 10 from last year's roster, but added 11 freshmen to the squad, all ready to contribute to the team.

St. Mary's finished 14-24 a year ago, including 5-10 in the Capital Athletic Conference. The Seahawks opened their season with a game at Christopher Newport, a team that received votes for the D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll, which they won, 4-3.

The Knights will continue the early part of their season in Old Westbury, N.Y. from March 1-2, with neutral-site contests against Baruch College and Ithaca College, respectively. After this, they will play their first home contest of the season, hosting Rutgers-Newark at Dutchess Stadium at 3 p.m.
