Box Score UNION, N.J. – Boosted by a 9-1 second quarter, Kean University pulled away from Mount Saint Mary College for a 22-8 victory in Skyline Conference action on Saturday. The Cougars improve to 13-1 overall (4-0 Skyline), while the Knights drop back to 6-7 (1-3 Skyline).

Sebastian Cina Jr. (Colts Neck, N.J.) gave the Knights an early lead with a goal less than two minutes in. Following three Kean goals, Mount senior
Andrew Pullen (Farmingdale, N.Y.) put home a man-up goal to wrap up the first quarter with the Knights trailing, 3-2.
Unfortunately for the Knights, the Cougars would pull away with nine goals in the second quarter and led 12-3 at the break. Pullen netted the opening goal of the second half, but Kean answered with six of the next seven to take complete control.
Pullen was the best Mount player on the field, scoring four times on eight shots. Senior
Nick Findlay (Elmont, N.Y.) added a pair of goals, while junior
Matt O'Donnell (Wallkill, N.Y.) and Cina Jr. each added a goal. Sophomore goalie
Connor Haran (Massapequa, N.Y.) made 18 saves in defeat.
Mount Saint Mary will host the College of Mount Saint Vincent in a key Skyline contest on Wednesday. The game is set for a 5:00 p.m. start on Kaplan Field.
