Box Score MADISON, N.J. – Mount Saint Mary College experienced defeat for the first time in 2013, dropping a non-conference game to Drew University by a final score of 15-3. The Knights drop back to 2-1 on the year.
The Rangers opened the scoring with the first two goals, but the Knights answered right back with an unassisted tally from junior
Erica Massmann (West Babylon, N.Y.) at the 23:21 mark. It would be as close as the Mount would get, however, as Drew ripped off the final five goals of the half and led 7-1 at the break. The run continued into the second half, as the Rangers pushed the lead to 11-1 with the first four goals of the final period.
Freshmen
Katie McGinnis (Shelton, N.Y.) and
Nicole Scicutella (Massapequa, N.Y.) each added second half tallies for the Mount. Sophomore
Katy Cartelli (Yorktown, N.Y.) was credited with an assist on the Scicutella goal with 8:59 remaining in the contest.
The Knights have the week off before hosting Wells College on Monday, March 11. The game is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start on Kaplan Field.
