Mount Saint Mary College currently holds the three-seed in the Skyline Conference, as they look to keep their spot with a win over Purchase. The Knights got off to a quick start with a goal from
Delisianna Naccarato 36 seconds in, assisted by
Antonia Licardi. Licardi was one of many Mount players who recorded career-bests this game with a career-high five assists. Mount Saint Mary scored nine unanswered goals in the first quarter as they led 9-0.
The Knights added another six goals in the second quarter, while not allowing Purchase to record a single shot on goal in the half. The Mount led 15-0 after utilizing seven different goal scorers. Junior
Evelyn Shannon scored a career-high three points for the first multi-point game of her career with two goals and one assist.
Purchase was able to get on the board with back-to-back goals to open up the third quarter. The Knights got back on track with a woman-up goal from
Kasey Senior, one of her five goals on the day.
Peyton Curley would follow that up with a goal of her own, assisted by
Kaitlin Hansen as Mount Saint Mary led 17-2 after three quarters.
Senior attacker
Shannon McGowan scored or assisted on five of the Knights' six goals this quarter to help her tie the single-game program record in points with 13, tying Kaileen Spadaro and
Karlie Ferrucci.
Delisianna Naccarato also had a great day with six goals, three assists, six ground balls, and six draw controls to stuff the stat sheet. The Knights would come away with a 23-2 win over Purchase College.
