Box Score NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Mount Saint Mary College got back to its winning ways on Saturday, defeating SUNY College at Old Westbury in Skyline Conference play by a final score of 17-0.  The Knights improve to 6-2 overall (2-1 Skyline), while the Panthers drop to 1-7 overall (0-4 Skyline).

Senior Kaileen Spadaro (Islip, N.Y.) jump started the Knights with three goals inside of the game's first five minutes.  Junior Erica Massmann (West Babylon, N.Y.) and freshman Katie McGinnis (Shelton, Conn.) also added tallies during the opening stretch as the Knights claimed an early 5-0 lead.

Sophomore Danielle Krupka (Northport, N.Y.) added back-to-back goals later in the half as the Knights rolled out to an 11-0 advantage at the half.  Sophomore Ela Igdeler (Islip, N.Y.) added a pair of second half tallies, helping to push the final score to 17-0.

Spadaro, Igdeler, and Massmann each finished with three goals and an assist, while Krupka and McGinnis each contributed a pair of goals.  Adding individual markers for the Knights were sophomore Nicole Cacioppo (Glen Cove, N.Y.), junior Nicole Palmieri (Elwood, N.Y.), freshman Kacie Mitterando (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) and freshman Shannon McGuinness (Oceanside, N.Y.).  Freshman goalie Deirdre Ray (Belle Harbor, N.Y.) needed to make just one save to earn her fifth victory of the season.

The Knights make a quick turnaround with a trip to Vassar College on Sunday.  Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. in Poughkeepsie.
