MAHWAH, N.J. - Behind four goals from senior
Kaileen Spadaro (Islip, N.Y.) and three goals from sophomore
Nicole Cacioppo (Glen Cove, N.Y.), Mount Saint Mary College rolled to an 18-9 victory over Ramapo College in the Skyline Conference opener for both teams. The Knights improve to 5-1 on the year, while the Roadrunners fall to 0-4.
Ramapo opened up the scoring early when Lindsay Hughes won the first draw control and found the back of the net at 29:38. Cacioppo was the first to score for the Knights but the Road Runners would answer back quickly as Hughes scored her second of four goals in the first half and seven on the game. Cacioppo would play on to score her second goal at 19:34 lifting the team to a 6-3 lead which would not be caught. Eight players for the Knights contributed to the first half scoring as Mount Saint Mary ended the first half with a 14-3 lead.

Deirdre Ray (Belle Harbor, NY) anchored the defense with eight saves.
The Knights travel to Vassar College Tuesday March 19. The game will be held in Poughkeepsie, New York at 5:00p.m.
