NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The first-annual Skyline Conference Fall Festival will take place on the campus of Mount Saint Mary College tomorrow, Nov. 9. A HEADS UP TO ALL WHO WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE: Army Football plays a home game at 12 p.m. tomorrow. It is suggested that all who will be traveling up north to Newburgh to take NYS Thruway I-87 up to Exit 17 and not Route 9W, as there will be very heavy traffic up until West Point.
In addition, the Skyline Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Mount Saint Mary Department of Athletics will host a Community Play Day from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center.

This year's Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship features the conference's top-two teams in a rematch of the last three Skyline Conference Championship games. In each of the last three seasons, Farmingdale State has gotten the better of the Mount in the conference finals. The Knights host the championship for the third straight year as a result of three-consecutive 8-0-0 Skyline records. Farmingdale has won each of the last six Skyline Championships.
In their previous matchup this season, the Knights shutout the visiting Rams, 2-0, at Kaplan Field. Though they did not allow a goal, this was one of the tougher offensive games for the Knights, as they only managed to put six shots on goal, their second-fewest total of the season. Sophomore forward
Shanice Robe (Valley Stream, N.Y.), the 2013 Skyline Women's Soccer Player of the Year, connected on two-of-five shots on goal to give the Knights the victory in their final regular-season contest of the season.
Each team proved that it deserved to be in the Skyline finals by shutting out its semifinal opponent. The Knights advanced on a 4-0 victory over The College at Old Westbury on Wednesday, while the Rams moved forward with a 3-0 victory over St. Joseph's College (L.I.).
Robe leads the Knights into battle tied for the conference lead with 52 points and a conference-best 2.89 points per game. She also leads the conference with 25 goals. Senior goalkeeper
Jacquelyn Mancini (Valley Stream, N.Y.) did not allow a single goal to a Skyline opponent this season, which continued in Wednesday's shutout victory. She currently has an .807 save percentage and a 0.74 goals against average to go along with seven shutouts.
Farmingdale sophomore forward Ashlee Thompson (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) leads the Rams with 35 points this season. Her 15 goals and five assists are both team bests. She ranks fifth in the Skyline in points and sixth in goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Breanna Blair (Littleton, Colo.) takes a 9-6-0 record into Saturday's championship, including five shutouts. She has a .741 save percentage and 1.01 goals against average.

The Knights took an 8-7 shootout win after nine rounds of penalty kicks to advance after 110 minutes of scoreless soccer.
Much like each of their semifinal-round results, the Knights and Rams played to a scoreless stalemate in their previous matchup this season. Farmingdale senior goalkeeper Angelo Viteritti (Huntington, N.Y.) made nine saves to secure the shutout, while Knight senior goalkeeper
Matt Darling (Staatsburg, N.Y.) stopped eight shots to keep the Rams off the board. One would expect another defensive matchup to take place in the rematch.
