The Knights lost to the Raptors 1-0 on Tuesday evening. It was a defensive affair, as the game was still scoreless headed into halftime. The contest's only goal came on a penalty kick off the foot of Bard senior Henry Skeltis in the 59th minute. The Raptors managed to break through after a red card issued to the Knights' Dale Allison led to the penalty kick, giving Bard a lead they would not surrender. The Knights struggled offensively, only managing to tally one shot on goal in each half. The Raptors led the Knights in both total shots and shots on goal, leading 9-5 and 6-2, respectively. Despite the loss, freshman goalkeeper Landon Mabe turned heads in his collegiate debut, saving all five of the non-penalty shots on goal he saw. The Knights will look to get back in the saddle on Friday in Washington D.C., as they square off against Gettysburg College to kick off the Turk Emekli Classic.
