Box Score

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Sophomore forward Shanice Robe (Valley Stream, N.Y.) tied the program career goals record with a pair of goals on Saturday to lead the Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team (14-4-0, 8-0-0 Skyline) to a 2-0 shutout victory over Farmingdale State College (11-9-0, 7-1-0 Skyline) to claim the Skyline Conference regular season title and the top seed in the Skyline Conference Championships.

The Knights celebrated Senior Day at Kaplan Field on Saturday with a pregame ceremony honoring senior goalkeeper Jacquelyn Mancini (Valley Stream, N.Y.), senior defender Tara McDermott (Tewksbury, N.J.) and senior midfielder Brigit Burgio (Riverhead, N.Y.) for their contributions to the women's soccer program throughout their tenure at the Mount.

Robe broke a scoreless tie in the 34th minute when she beat a pair of defenders in the box and fired one past the keeper. She scored her program record-tying goal in the 54th minute off a feed from junior midfielder Meghan Moran (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) to give the Knights a two-goal lead.

Mancini made three saves to earn the shutout victory. She led the Knights to a regular season shutout of the Skyline Conference, as the team did not allow a single goal to a conference opponent during the regular season. Farmingdale's Breanna Blair shouldered the loss after allowing two goals and stopping three shots.

The Knights held an 11-8 shots advantage in Saturday's win. Farmingdale earned seven corner kicks to just two for the Knights.

By clinching the top seed, the Knights earn a first-round bye in the Skyline Conference Championships. They will host a semifinal matchup at Kaplan Field on Wednesday, Nov. 6 against the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 5 game between The College at Old Westbury and the College of Mount Saint Vincent, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2.
