Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary looked to continue its playoff run against the top-seeded Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins in the Skyline Conference Semifinals. The Knights picked up right where they left off after their Farmingdale victory, putting immense pressure on the Dolphins from the start. It wouldn't be long before the Knights' leading scorer on the season, Kaitlin Hansen, put one in the back of the goal off an assist from Lily Tanko to take a 1-0 lead. For the second straight game, the Mount was the first team to score and did it early in the game. This goal would wake Mount Saint Vincent up, but goalkeeper Elizabeth Lennane was ready, making 3 first-half saves, including a goal-saving stop at the near post to keep Mount Saint Mary up heading into the half.

To open up the second half, the Dolphins came out firing on all cylinders, putting the equalizing goal in the back of the net in the 47th minute. In the 60th minute, Kaitlin Hansen almost added her second goal of the match, just pushing the ball left off the post. Moments later, Mount Saint Vincent would score again to take a 2-1 lead. With the Knights now on their heels, they looked to respond to a high-powered UMSV offense. In the 77th minute, the Dolphins found a way to score their third unanswered goal to take a 3-1 lead late in the game. The Knights were down but not out, as they continued to battle till the end. Their high press got the best of the Mount Saint Vincent defense, as Lily Tanko took advantage of a defensive blunder to cut their deficit to just one with under 3 minutes to play. The Dolphins added the game-ending goal in the last minute to put a close to the Knights' season 4-2.
