MONTCLAIR, N.J. – In their season finale, the Mount Saint Mary College men's lacrosse team dropped a 21-9 decision to Skyline Conference opponent, Montclair State University. The Knights cap the 2012 season with an overall record of 7-9 and a Skyline Conference record of 1-5. Under the direction of head coach
Eric Seideman in his first year, the program jumped from just four wins in the 2010 and 2011 seasons combined to seven this year. With the win, the Red Hawks improve to 9-5 on the year and 6-0 in Skyline play.
Montclair senior Matt Prongay (Edison, N.J.) opened up scoring just two minutes into the game to give the Red Hawks a quick 1-0 advantage. Mount sophomore

Andrew Pullen (Farmingdale, N.Y.) just 11 seconds later gave the Knights a 2-1 lead. Montclair erupted for a 5-0 run, which was stopped when Mount freshman
Stephen York (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) buried a shot with 3:13 on the clock to bring the Knights to within three, 6-3. Montclair senior Tyler Meth (Basking Ridge, N.J.) added two quick goals in the last minute of the quarter to push the Red Hawks ahead by five.

Jake Robison (Franklin Square, N.Y.) dished the ball to Pullen, who then tallied his second goal of the day to make it a five goal game. Montclair junior Jake Skeels (Roseland, N.J.) added two of Montclair's next three goals as they moved ahead by eight, 12-4. With under two minutes to play in the second, Mount freshman
CJ Cardo (Merrick, N.Y.) found the back of the net to give the Knights their fifth goal of the game. The Red Hawks tacked on two more goals before the break to extend their lead to nine at the break, 14-5.
Pullen and Robison connected again to open up the third quarter, as Pullen added his third just two minutes in. The Red Hawks went on to score the next five goals of the quarter and the Mount fell behind by 13 at the conclusion of three.
Despite being outshot 11-5 in the fourth quarter, the Knights outscored Montclair 3-2. With 7:40 remaining in the game, Mount freshman
David Hobbs (Baldwin, N.Y.) scored his first of the day off an assist from Cardo. O'Donnell tallied his second of the day at the 2:30 mark to account for the Knight's eighth goal. With just 18 second remaining on the clock, Cardo moved the ball ahead to Hobbs, who added his second of the day to account for the final score, 21-9.
Pullen led the Knights with three goals, while O'Donnell and Hobbs followed with two each. Cardo tallied one goal and two assists and Robison added two assists. Findlay showed why he is currently tied for first in the country in assists per game, dishing out a game-high four assists. Sophomore goalie
Shawn Cobstill (Oneonta, N.Y.) recorded six saves in three quarters of work.
Prongay tallied a game-high six points (3G, 3A), while Meth and Skeels followed with (4G, 1A) and (3G, 2A), respectively. In one half of play, senior goalie Mark Glander (Vernon, N.J.) made three saves.
