NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Knights claimed a victory over Sarah Lawrence College in their first home meet of the season Saturday afternoon. The women's team won with a score of 129-73 and the men won, 129- 60.
For the women's side, freshman
Lauren Becerra (White Plains, N.Y.) had a stellar performance in claiming three victories for the Knights. Becerra finished the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:51.93. Becerra also recorded a time of 27.91 in the 50 yard freestyle and 1:01.74 in the 100 yard freestyle.
Junior
Alissa Keyes, (Trumbull, Conn.) won the 400 yard IM with a time of 5:26.59 and the 200 yard butterfly in 2:39.07. Freshman teammate,
Sandy Behre (Ogdensburg, N. J.), won the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:54.04.
Freshman
Sam Watson (Groton, Conn.) had two first place finishes for the men. Watson earned a time of 5:06.40 in the 400 yard IM and 2:20.55 in 200 yard backstroke. Sophomore
Jason Lorch (Plainview, N.Y.) also helped lift the Knights to victory with two first place finishes. He won the 100 yard freestyle clocking 53:58 and the 50 yard freestyle a time of 24:08.
The Knights next compete on November 30 at 5:00 p.m., in the Diamond City Invitational at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
