ONEONTA, N.Y. – Sophomore Andrew Pullen (Farmingdale, N.Y.) scored a pair of goals, but the Mount Saint Mary College men's lacrosse team fell to Hartwick College, 24-4, in the season opener for both teams.

Held scoreless for the first half, the Knights finally got on the board in the third quarter as Pullen converted a man-up opportunity on a feed from sophomore Nick Findlay (Elmont, N.Y.). Pullen added an unassisted goal in the third quarter, as did freshman Stephen White (Schenectady, N.Y.), to make the score 18-3 at the end of three.

Findlay would cap the Mount scoring with an unassisted goal at the 10:54 mark of the fourth quarter.

Freshman Brian Finnegan (East Northport, N.Y.) led Hartwick with five goals and an assist. Sophomore Harry Hughes (Holtsville, N.Y.) added four goals and an assist, while sophomore Joe Shields (Loudonville, N.Y.) pitched in with three goals and two assists.
