Mount Sweeps Sarah Lawrence

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College swimming teams clocked in with the fastest times in 20 of the 22 events during Thursday's meet, as the Knights defeated Sarah Lawrence College. The men's team earned an 84-54 win, while the women's team captured a 112-88 victory. Both the men's and women's teams improve to 3-0 on the young season.

On the men's side, senior Enrique Naudy (Monroe, N.Y.) and freshman Ryan Murray (Long Beach, N.Y.) were both triple winners. Naudy took home the 200 freestyle (1:55.49), the 200 individual medley (2:13.63) and the 100 backstroke (1:01.23). Murray recorded the fastest time in the 500 freestyle (5:54.73), the 1000 freestyle (12:32.55) and the 100 freestyle (56.44).

Sophomore Conor Dowd (Massapequa, N.Y.) raced to first place in the 100 butterfly (1:04.06) and the 100 breaststroke (1:18.85). Classmate Mark Bohlinger (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) rounded out the individual event winners, taking first in the 50 freestyle (24.49).

For the women, junior Brianna Perazella (Chesire, Conn.), senior Censi Danner (Saugerties, N.Y.) and sophomore Allison Wyatt (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) were all double winners. Perazella was fastest in the 200 freestyle (2:14.40) and the 100 backstroke (1:13.34), while Danner grabbed wins in the 50 freestyle (26.17) and the 100 butterfly (1:04.24). Wyatt edged the field in the 200 individual medley (2:36.00) and the 100 breaststroke (1:15.55).

The Knights had two other swimmers post winning times, including junior Deirdre Kenny (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and freshman Meghan Seaman (Staten Island, N.Y.). Kenney beat the field in the 1000 freestyle (12:32.85) and Seaman posted a first-place time of 5:59.00 in the 500 freestyle.

The Knights round out a busy week of competition on Saturday, November 12 as they host King's College in a non-conference meet. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
