NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Bringing their record back to even on the season, the Mount Saint Mary College women's soccer team defeated Polytechnic Institute of NYU on Sunday, 11-0, in a Skyline Conference game. The Knights are now 5-5 overall and 2-1 inside the conference.

Freshman Jenna Donahue (Brookhaven, N.Y.) opened the scoring in the 3rd minute following a corner kick from freshman Allie Kleine (Vernon, N.J,). Junior Erin McKeon (Watertown, Conn.) got her head on the ball in the box, knocking it down for Donahue to finish the play.

McKeon doubled the lead in the 10th minute, heading home a corner kick from freshman Tara McDermott (Tewksbury, N.J.). Sophomore Lex Heal (Port Jervis, N.Y.) matched McKeon's feat, heading a corner from Kleine inside the far post to make it 3-0.

Donahue would complete her first career hat trick with the fourth and fifth goals for the Knights. The freshman tallied in the 15th minute with an assist from senior Jennifer Nolan (Levittown, N.Y.). Her shot from 25 yards in the 18th minute also found the back of the net to make it 5-0.

Kleine added an unassisted goal in the 22nd minute and then it was the turn of sophomore Kelly Candelet (Mystic, Conn.). Candelet's bending shot snuck inside the far post on a feed from McDermott in the 27th minute. McDermott closed out the first half scoring with an unassisted goal in the 39th minute.

In the second half, McKeon added her second goal of the afternoon by finishing off a loose ball in the box. Junior Colleen Cappadora (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also added an unassisted goal in the 71st minute. Nolan closed out the scoring with a goal in the final minute on an assist from Kleine.
