NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Ramapo College raced out a 7-1 lead in Tuesday's Skyline Conference game and Mount Saint Mary College never recovered, eventually falling to the Roadrunners (8-5, 5-2 Skyline) by a score of 15-7. It was the third straight loss for the Knights (4-7, 2-4 Skyline).
Ramapo sophomore Colleen Steel (Wyckoff, N.J.) scored three first half goals and staked the Roadrunners to a 10-3 advantage at the half. After falling further behind In the second half, Mount Saint Mary would close the gap back to seven in the final five minutes on a goal from junior

For the Mount, freshman
Kaileen Spadaro (Islip, N.Y.) led the way with three goals and an assist. Cashin chipped in two goals, as did freshman
Sharon Cranwell (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) to round out the scoring for the Knights. Sophomore goalie
Emily Folino (Staten Island, N.Y.) made eight saves and took the loss.
Steel and sophomore Amanda Barretta (Roseland, N.J.) led Ramapo with three goals each. Nine other players for the Roadrunners scored a single goal. Senior goalie Megan Tierney (Wayne, N.J.) made 11 saves to collect the victory.
The Knights travel to Montclair State on Thursday for another Skyline Conference contest. The game is set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
