NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Mount Saint Mary College Athletic Director
Shane Bell has announced the permanent hiring of
Victor Reich as head softball coach.
"I could not be happier to elevate Coach Reich to be our Head Softball Coach. I've been impressed by Victor's passion for Mount Saint Mary College and his commitment to our softball student-athletes. Over the last 9 months as the Interim Head Softball Coach, Victor has continued to build on the success that was developed by Coach Howe and we are looking forward to him taking the program to new heights," said Bell.
Reich led the Knights to a 15-22 overall record and an 11-7 conference record, finishing 4th in the regular season standings in his first season at the helm. The team won 13 of their last 21 games, including an 8-7 Skyline Conference First Round playoff win over St. Joseph's Long Island. Reich helped coach pitcher
