Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary has been on a tear recently as they have won their last 7 games. With Purchase coming into town, the Knights looked to continue their dominance. The reigning Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week Maggie Trinkaus got the Mount going with their first 7 points. Trinkaus led the Knights in scoring once again with 19 points on the afternoon as she scored in double-digits for the third straight game. Purchase would tie the game 9-9 with 3:12 on the clock then Lauren Petrie would go on an individual 6-0 run followed by a layup for Erin Lofaro as the Knights led 17-12 after the first quarter. To start the second quarter, Lizzy Lofaro would hit three straight three-pointers in a 1-minute span to extend their lead to 12. Mount Saint Mary not only shot well from beyond the arc this game (40.0%), but they also shot 52.1% from the field as a team. Brianna Guglielmo would get into the action with a couple of makes as the Knights led 30-16. The Mount was held to without a point for almost 5 minutes, but Maggie Trinkaus would score 7 points in the last 56 seconds to give Mount Saint Mary a 37-22 advantage at the half.

The Panthers quickly cut their deficit to 10 to start the third, though the Knights would respond with a 13-0 run sparked by Shannon Phelan. Every single active player for Coach Marion Dietz scored this game and played at least 15 minutes, showing how deep their lineup can go. As a team, the Mount forced 30 turnovers, scoring 38 points off of them. They would also dominate the points in the paint battle 38-14 along with plenty of other stat categories. Mount Saint Mary held a comfortable 61-34 lead as we entered the fourth quarter. Ciarra Quinn and Lauren Petrie knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to extend their lead. Erin Lofaro added 11 points off the bench for the Knights as she continues to be one of the top scorers on the team. Sara Cashin dropped in a layup towards the end of the game to give the Mount their largest lead of the game. Mount Saint Mary would ultimately knock off the Panthers 83-45.
