NEWBURGH, NY – On Wednesday afternoon, Director of Athletics Shane Bell announced Victor Reich as the interim head softball coach.

As a team, we'll strive for success both on and off the field. I would like thank Shane Bell and Samantha Howe for giving me this opportunity". 
 
Reich spent last season as the Knights assistant coach where he helped lead the team to a 12-6 conference record and an 11-6 record at home. Reich has over 15 years of private training experience, over 12 years of coaching experience, and 9 years of team management experience with the TC Futures organization. Reich attended the College of Staten Island (NY) and earned CUNY Freshman of the year and MVP of the 1987 CUNY Championship while being a 4-year starter and team captain (90-91) of the baseball team.
 
Bell had this to say about the hire of Reich as the new softball head coach:
 
"I am excited to elevate Victor Reich to be our Interim Head Softball Coach. In the time Victor has been in our program as an Assistant Coach, I've been impressed by his ability to connect with our student-athletes both on and off the field. Victor is an excellent teacher of the game and has extensive knowledge of club softball in the Hudson Valley. The MSMC Softball program has a storied history and I'm looking forward to seeing Coach Reich make his mark on the program.
