Albany, NY- The Mount Saint Mary College Knights track and field team competed at the Bobbi Palma Spring Classic at the University of Albany on April 19th. Head coach
Fred Callo was pleased with the team's performance, highlighting
Kyan Muendell and
Maria Baldwin who broke school records in their respective events.
"Great job tonight by Kyan and Maria breaking school records," Callo said. "
Lily O'Brien also had a good night placing in the long jump and finishing 2nd in the 400m hurdles. I'm looking forward to the Skyline next Sunday."
The Knights will look to build on their success at the Skyline Conference Championship which will be held on April 28th hosted by Farmingdale State College.
Highlights from the Bobbi Palma Spring Classic
Kyan Muendell shattered the school record in the men's javelin throw with a throw of 47.91m.
Maria Baldwin set a new school record in the women's 400m with a time of 1:03.38.
Lily O'Brien had a strong performance, finishing second in the women's 400m hurdles and placing eighth in the long jump.
