NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Freshman defender
Ryder Esposito of the men's soccer team and junior
Grace MacHugh of the women's swim team were selected as this week's Knights of the Week.
Esposito was a name not too familiar on the stat sheet this season, only playing a total of 61 minutes entering their match against Sarah Lawrence. Esposito was the next man up for an already depleted Knights defense after an injury midway through the game. He stepped up big time and helped the Knights defense hold Sarah Lawrence to a shutout. Esposito would also record his first career assist late in the game to push Mount Saint Mary past the Gryphons 2-0.
MacHugh helped women's swim continue their strong start to the season. She was name Skyline Conference Women's Co-Swimmer of the Week for her performance against Brooklyn College. MacHugh placed first in three individual events; the 100 Yard Breaststroke, 200 Yard Freestyle, and the 100 Yard Butterfly.
