NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Kyle Teixeira, Director of Sports Information at Mount Saint Mary College, was recognized as the winner of the Coach/Administrator Profile Story category for the College Division of District I in the 2025-26 CSC Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest.
Teixeira earned the honor for his feature story on women's soccer Head Coach Joe Dolan titled, "From the Pitch to the Sideline: How Joe Dolan Has Continued His Legacy at the Mount." The article highlighted Dolan's journey from student-athlete to head coach at the Mount and the lasting impact he continues to make on the women's soccer program.
Members of College Sports Communicators across all eight districts submitted nearly 500 entries spanning seven writing categories. For the second consecutive year, the contest was separated into College and Division I divisions, allowing members from smaller athletic communications offices the opportunity to be recognized for their feature writing and storytelling efforts.
As a district winner, Teixeira advances to the national ballot, with national winners in all eight categories scheduled to be announced later this month.
