NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Three Mount Saint Mary College student-athletes were named Skyline Conference Scholar Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.
Representing the Mount were
Marco Mazzarelli (men's soccer),
Kenny Leen (men's lacrosse), and
Stefanie Sommer (women's swimming), who were recognized for their outstanding achievements both in the classroom and in competition during the 2025-26 season.
Mazzarelli put together one of the most decorated seasons in program history, earning Skyline All-Conference First Team and All-ECAC Second Team honors while also being named a CSC Academic All-America Finalist.
Leen added to his record-breaking senior campaign by earning Skyline All-Conference First Team recognition, USILA Scholar All-American honors, and a selection to the 2026 USILA All-Star Game. During the season, Leen set the program's all-time saves record against Husson on March 29 before recording a program-record 32 saves against Farmingdale State on April 14, a performance that earned him Skyline Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Sommer was recognized after an outstanding season, earning Skyline All-Conference First Team honors as a member of the 200-yard medley relay team and All-Conference Second Team recognition as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay. She also received the prestigious Skyline Elite 19 Award, presented to the swimmer with the highest cumulative GPA.
