PURCHASE, N.Y. – With their 7-1 Skyline Conference Championship quarterfinal victory over St. Joseph's College (L.I.) on Saturday, the Mount Saint Mary College men's soccer team (11-4-2, 5-2-2 Skyline) heads down to Purchase College this evening to take on the No. 2-seed Panthers (9-6-2, 6-2-1 Skyline).

Tonight's contest is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. from Purchase College. The winner will go on to the Skyline finals, which will take place during the Fall Festival at Kaplan Field on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Senior midfielder Michael Ennis (Carmel, N.Y.) was the difference maker in Saturday's win, scoring each of the first two Knight goals to lead the team to victory and into the semifinals. Freshman goalkeeper Tyler Biscone (Garden City, N.Y.) played a strong game in net in place of senior goalkeeper Matt Darling (Staatsburg, N.Y.), allowing just one goal to earn his first victory, and an important one at that.

In their regular-season matchup, the Panthers got the best of the Knights, who were forced to play the majority of the game a man down after Darling received a red card in the first half. The Panthers took home a 5-4 victory in an overtime thriller at Kaplan Field. The win gave the Panthers a first-round bye in the Skyline Tournament and forced the Knights to play Saturday's quarterfinal matchup.

The Knights are led into battle by junior forward Matt Garcia (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.). His 16 goals and 40 points lead the Skyline Conference. Senior midfielder Brandon Mincher (Bayport, N.Y.) and Ennis tie for second on the team with 24 points each. Ennis is second on the squad with 10 goals, while Mincher is tied for first with 10 assists. Senior midfielder Sean Lockwood (Manahawkin, N.J.) also has 10 assists and is fourth on the team with 22 points.

Junior Sanguina leads the Panthers in their hunt for the title with 11 goals and 11 assists for a total of 33 points on the season. Myles Clohessy follows with 16 points on seven goals and a pair of assists. Enderson Mhilli and Eli Wilson-Berkowitz each have four goals and four assists on the year

Darling has had a solid season for the Knights, posting an .840 save percentage and 1.11 goals against average en route to a 10-3-2 overall record. He has also posted six shutouts.

Esteban Aguilar will stand between the pipes for the Panthers Wednesday evening. He has made 99 saves on the year with a save percentage of .811. He has a goals-against average of 1.38 and an overall record of 9-6-2.

The Knights hold a 4-3-2 record on the road this season. The Panthers are 6-2-1 on their home turf.
