NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent in three sets (25-22, 25-17, 25-21) in a Skyline Conference quarterfinal on Wednesday. The Blue Knights improved to 18-14 overall and advanced to the semifinals. The Dolphins finish the season at 12-15.

Katie Toole (Wallkill, N.Y.) racked up 27 assists, putting her over the 2,000 career assist mark. Toole is the first player in recorded college history to do so. The Blue Knights controlled the match from the outset with sophomore

Lauren Halverson (Patchogue, N.Y.) each added 7 kills. Halverson also led the team with 20 digs, while sophomore
Heather Schaeffer (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) pitched in with 10 digs.
Mount Saint Vincent freshman Kristine DeMasi (Bay Ridge, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with 13 kills. Senior Bridget Leonard (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) finished with 27 assists and sophomore Renee Reynes (Bronx, N.Y.) posted a team-high 19 kills.
The Blue Knights will face the Polytechnic Institute of NYU in the semifinals on Saturday, November 7. The match will take place at NYU-Poly beginning at 11:00 a.m.
