NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The Mount Saint Mary College women's volleyball team earned a straight-set victory over Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday night, sweeping the Dolphins 3-0 at the Elaine & William Kaplan Recreation Center.

Mount Saint Mary opened the match with a hard-fought first set, battling through 14 tie scores before pulling away late. The Knights broke a 20-20 deadlock with five straight points to close out the set, 25-20. Julianna Simone led the way with seven kills in the opening frame, while Kaitlin Dillon and Emily Baron each added three kills.
The Knights carried that momentum into the second set, using a strong offensive effort to build an early advantage. Mount Saint Mary created separation midway through the frame and finished with a 25-17 victory. Dillon recorded four kills in the set, while Simone and Baron each added three. Sofia Fredericks continued to direct the offense, helping the Knights maintain their advantage.
Mount Saint Mary completed the sweep with a 25-18 win in the third set. The teams traded points early before the Knights created some breathing room and held off the Dolphins down the stretch. Dillon added four more kills in the final frame, while Simone and Baron each contributed three. The Knights finished with 38 kills and a .221 hitting percentage, while recording 10 service aces and limiting Mount Saint Vincent to a .100 hitting percentage.
