The Golden Eagles won game one, 12-0, and game two, 6-0, to improve to 24-4 overall and to a perfect 12-0 in Skyline Conference play. Mount Saint Mary dropped to 9-17 overall and to 8-4 in the conference.

In game one, St. Joseph's sent ten batters to the plate in the second inning and eleven batters to the plate in the third inning, tallying five and six runs, respectively. Sophomore Liz Carlson (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) did a nice job in relief, allowing just one run over the final three innings of the ball game.

In game two, the Golden Eagles pushed across three runs in both the third and fourth innings. Schamberger picked up a pair of RBIs with a single in the second and freshman Denise Sciangula (Medford, N.Y.) did the same with a single in the third. Schamberger finished 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Freshman Terri Leonard (Sound Beach, N.Y.) and sophomore Alana Buckley (Kings Park, N.Y.) were each 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Martinez dominated the second game, striking out 19 batters while allowing just two hits.
