Eric Seideman are happy to introduce Chuck Ruppert as the men's lacrosse team's new assistant coach and defensive coordinator for the 2015 campaign.

"I am ecstatic to welcome Chuck Ruppert as an assistant coach on our staff," said Seideman. "With his Division I experience, he will be an invaluable resource to our student-athletes, and we are excited to see what he will do with our defense and goalies."

Ruppert joins the Knights' coaching staff after a successful four-year career as the goalkeeper at Division I Robert Morris University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in social science, and then his Master of Science degree in instructional leadership with a concentration in sport management.

dreamed of being a college coach since I was very young and this is a great place to start a career."

Ruppert has gained coaching experience over the past three seasons, working with all different levels of club and high school lacrosse. He also served as the head coach for the Robert Morris University club lacrosse team in 2013-14.

Ruppert owns the career wins record at Robert Morris with 24. He stands second all-time on the Robert Morris career record lists in both career saves (379) and saves per game (9.02). He also own fourth place on the record list with a .493 save percentage over his four seasons, and third with a 10.79 career goals against average.

As the Knights' defensive coordinator, Ruppert will be charged with guiding both the defense and goalkeepers.
