Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Knights held off St. Joseph's-Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon for their second straight win.

The Mount Saint Mary Knights hit the road to take on the St. Joseph's-Brooklyn Bears Wednesday afternoon in their second Skyline Conference game of the season. The Knights would strike first early, when Knights freshman Brady Patrick found the back of the net in the 12th minute for his first career goal. Patrick's unassisted goal was poked into the low right corner and gave the Mount a 1-0 lead. Knights freshman Landon Mabe would hold down the net, recording two first half saves to keep the Bears off the scoreboard. The game would stay at 1-0 headed into halftime. .
Just as the Knights struck early in the first half, they would again strike early in the second half. After a 12th minute goal in the first half, the Knights scored again in the 13th minute of the second half (58th total). The goal came off the foot of sophomore TJ Mark, assisted by fellow sophomore Alex Napoli. Mark's team-leading fourth goal of the season would give the Knights a 2-0 lead, a lead they would not relinquish. St. Joseph's-Brooklyn would avoid a shutout in the last minute of regulation on a goal by senior Veton Dudus. The 90th minute goal was assisted by Ebrahim Solo Darboe, and would cut the deficit to 2-1. Despite the late goal, Mabe made another two saves in the second half, accumulating four total. 2-1 would be the game's final score.
The Knights look to make it three conference wins in a row on Saturday afternoon, when they will play at Farmingdale State at 12:00 pm.
