Mount Saint Mary looked to rebound against Farmingdale State College with another Skyline Conference doubleheader. The Knights would strike first in the bottom half of the 1st inning, with a bases-loaded RBI single from
Kaleb Morgan.
Nico Simou added another run with an RBI fielder's choice right after to give the Mount a 2-0 advantage. Freshman pitcher
Dominick Cusumano took the mound for the Knights, pounding the zone all game long. He would find himself in tough positions multiple times during his outing, but always managed to get out of them. An RBI single in the top of the 3rd inning got the Rams on the board to make it 2-1.
The Mount had a solid chance to score with runners on second and third after a single from
Gregory Harrison and a double from
Richard Lamping. They would be unable to score either runner, recording back-to-back outs as Farmingdale got out of a jam. A leadoff double from
Kaleb Morgan that hit the fence put a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the 6th.
Richard Lamping hit a deep fly ball to score Morgan later in the inning with a sacrifice fly to make it 3-1 Mount Saint Mary. With just three outs left in game one, the Knights turned to their bullpen for the save. Farmingdale would score five runs on just one hit in the inning to take a 6-3 lead out of nowhere. A couple of errors from the Rams allowed
Axel Martinez to score and make it 6-4, but the Knights would be unable to go any further as they dropped game one to Farmingdale.

Game 2

Score: Mount Saint Mary College 4, Farmingdale 11
Records: Mount Saint Mary College (7-18, 2-8 Skyline) | Farmingdale (9-9, 2-4)
Rapid Recap
The Mount turned to freshman pitcher
Nick Parco in game two against the Rams. Both teams' pitchers were able to make work of the opposing teams offense through the first two innings, not allowing a single run. An error from Farmingdale put
Richard Lamping on first in the bottom half of the 3rd. A couple of balls put in play, including a sacrifice bunt from
Elijah Duprey, got Lamping over to third base, before a passed ball allowed him to score, putting the Knights up 1-0. This lead would be short-lived after a 5-run 5-hit inning from the Rams in the top of the 4th made it 5-1.
A leadoff single from
Noah Anderson, followed by a double down the right field line from
Aidan Marshall, led to RBIs from
Kaleb Morgan and
Anthony Voss to put a dent into Farmingdale's lead and make it 5-3. The Rams looked to put this game out of reach with a 4-run inning in the 6th to put themselves up 9-3. The Mount's offense needed to get going if they were able to make a comeback late in the game, but they were only able to tally one more run in the 8th with bases loaded. Farmingdale added another two runs in the 9th, as they came away with an 11-4 win over Mount Saint Mary in game two.
