Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary College looked to rebound against Mount Saint Vincent after their tough loss to Maritime earlier in the week. Joseph Corallo would quickly get to work, winning the opening faceoff and taking it straight to goal to give the Mount a 1-0 lead five seconds in. The Dolphins would tie the game up a few minutes later, as neither offense made much of an impact in the first quarter. Kenny Leen had a busy day at the office, facing 48 shots, with 34 of them being on goal, and making 20 saves.

Mount Saint Vincent would get into a groove early on in the second quarter, scoring three goals in a two-minute span to take a 4-1 lead. The Knights would respond with goals from Henry Micyk and Brandon Pagano to put them right back into the game with just under two minutes remaining in the half. The Dolphins added another late goal to put their lead back up to two and make it 5-3 heading into the half.

The Knights hoped to get into a rhythm on offense in the second half, but they were unable to find an answer until late in the quarter. Mount Saint Vincent scored three straight goals with hopes of pulling away from Mount Saint Mary. Tyler Mackay was able to find Hayden Mitchell to convert a man-down goal, then beat the buzzer at the end of the third period, as the Knights trailed 9-5.

Mount Saint Mary needed to rally in the fourth quarter if they were to come back. It would be the Dolphins that had a big fourth quarter, notching five goals in the quarter, including four straight to open the period. Tyler Mackay was able to score for the Knights, but it was ultimately too late as the Mount would trail 13-6 at this point. Mount Saint Vincent would eventually come away with a 14-6 win over the Knights, as Mount Saint Mary falls to 1-2 in conference play.
