Mount Saint Mary opened up the RussMatt Invitational against Anderson University of Indiana.
Peter Pappalardo got the start on the bump for the Knights for the second time this season. The Mount wouldn't get a hit until the top of the 4th inning with a single to center field from
Aidan Marshall. The Ravens were up 3-0 at this point, with the Knights needing to get their offense going.
Anderson added another 2 runs in the bottom half of the 6th to extend their lead to 5 runs. In the top of the 7th,
Noah Anderson secured a one-out single with
Kaleb Morgan homering with two outs to get the team on the board. The Ravens would tack on 7 runs on just 4 hits to end the game 12-2 in the bottom of the 7th.
