Rapid Recap
Mount Saint Mary was riding a 6-game winning streak heading into their matchup with Old Westbury at home. The Knights got off to a quick start with Reese Mayer finding Brianna Guglielmo for an open three. Although the Mount had no trouble scoring, the Panthers held their own to begin the game, despite their 2-13 record on the season. Freshman guard Gabby Ziegenbalg would check into the game and make an immediate impact, knocking down her first three attempts from beyond the arc, to help the Knights put up 28 points in the first quarter.

Angelina Donato would get to work to open up the second quarter, although she made her mark on defense and as a distributor this game with a season-high 9 assists and 5 steals. Gabby Ziegenbalg continued to shoot the lights out this game, as her 10 three-point makes are the most ever by a Mount Saint Mary women's basketball player in a game, with the previous record being held by Kellie Stuart, who hit 7 back on February 25th, 2005. The Mount attacked the basket early and often, shooting a near-perfect 19-21 from the charity stripe this game. The Knights would head into the locker room with a steady 52-25 lead.

After an Old Westbury made basket, the Mount would go on a 12-2 run to extend their lead. Brianna Guglielmo would add to her scoring, as she finished the game with a solid 18 points and 8 rebounds. The Knights would score 20+ points in each quarter this game, shooting an absurd 45.5% from three-point range. Their 15 three-point makes is their most in a game this season.

The Knights struggled to score to start the fourth quarter, but Gabby Ziegenbalg would settle the team down. Ysella Kosic would get in on the action, as she went a perfect 2-2 from three-point range this game after returning to the lineup from injury. 10 of the 11 players for the Knights would score this game, with Ava Orbon playing her role as a facilitator, finishing the game with a season-high 5 assists. Mount Saint Mary would defeat Old Westbury by the final score of 98-48.
