Mount Saint Mary traveled to the city to take on Yeshiva University as they still search for their first conference win of the season. The Maccabees jumped out to a quick 10-0 start before
Conor Gemmill would get the first points for the Knights. Gemmil and
Liam Lynch would knock down back-to-back threes to put the Mount right back into the game. 13 unanswered points for Yeshiva built up a 30-13 lead midway through the half as Mount Saint Mary trailed by 17. The Knights would find themselves down 43-26 at the half, with a big second half needed to come back and win.
Conor Gemmill opened up the scoring for the Mount to begin the second period. The Knights were able to shoot 41.9% from the field in the second half, but the Maccabees' high-powered offense shot 69.2% from the field and 55.6% from deep. Mount Saint Mary was led by
JP Egan, who had 14 points on solid shooting splits in just 24 minutes played. Another double-digit scoring run from Yeshiva put the Knights down 74-43, as they trailed by as much as 32 in the second half.
Soren Holmbo would check in for the Mount and quickly went to work, going 3-3 from the field and scoring 9 points in just 4 minutes. The Knights would ultimately lose to the Maccabees by the final score of 89-60.
