NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Mount Saint Mary Athletics has released all 2025-26 schedules for its winter sports, which includes; men's basketball, women's basketball, and men's and women's swimming.
Men's Basketball
Men's basketball opens up this season with a home game on November 8th against Hunter College. The Knights will be returning 11 players from last season with 4 new incoming freshman, but will need to find someone to step up to fill the scoring role after losing 4 of their top 5 scorers from last season. They will open up Skyline Conference play on December 13th against Purchase College on the road.Â
Women's Basketball
The 2024-25 Skyline Conference Champions will open up their season with a road match against New Paltz on November 7th. After graduating 7 seniors last season, Coach Marion Dietz reloaded with 8 newcomers including a talented 2029 freshman class. The Knights will be returning Skyline Conference Tournament MVP and All-Conference First Team forward
Brianna Guglielmo who will look to take on a leadership role this season. The team will open up Skyline Conference play on November 19th at Yeshiva and will host their Skyline Championship Ring Ceremony on November 22nd when they host Sarah Lawrence College.
Men's and Women's Swimming
The men's and women's swim teams will begin their seasons on October 25th with a meet at Brooklyn College. 2024-25 Skyline Conference Women's Coach of the Year Chris Mance is excited about both teams after finishing 2nd place in the men's and women's Skyline Championship Meet. The Knights first home meet of the season will be on November 1st when they host William Paterson University.
