NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Freshman forward Cam Welsh of the men's soccer team and senior setter Vanessa Seymour of the women's volleyball team have been named this week's Knights of the Week.
 
Welsh came in clutch for the Knights in both of their games last week, scoring the game-winning goal in both matches. He gave Mount Saint Mary a spark off the bench scoring in the 53rd minute against John Jay in a 2-1 win, and in the 41st minute against Old Westbury in a 2-1 conference win.

Seymour had a very impressive week for the Knights totaling 77 assists, including 39 against Southern Maine in a reverse sweep, 8 aces, 21 digs, 3 block assists, and 4 kills in 3 matches. Her 39 assists is the most in a match by a Knight's player since 2023, as she currently leads the team in assists with 167.
